Aims&Scope

Signum. Filología is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research at the intersection of literary studies, linguistics, and cultural studies, with a particular focus on the Spanish-speaking world. The journal offers a platform for scholarship on Spanish-language literatures and cultures, from historical to contemporary perspectives, and encourages comparative, theoretical, and interdisciplinary approaches.

The core mission of Signum. Filología is to advance knowledge in philology and related fields by fostering dialogue across methodological and linguistic traditions, and by integrating classical textual scholarship with contemporary theoretical and digital perspectives. While the journal embraces a broad range of topics, all contributions are expected to demonstrate rigorous philological, linguistic, or critical analysis and to engage with debates central to Hispanic studies.

Signum. Filología is committed to ethical publishing standards and supports transparency and open scholarship, including, where relevant, the sharing of data, corpora, and digital resources. The journal accepts submissions in Spanish and English from scholars worldwide, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic dialogue.
